Provisioning Users & Assigning Permissions
How do I provision new users in my Ashby account manually?
This guide covers how to add, deactivate, and reactivate employees as users in your Ashby account. If you have the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 integrations in place and allow users to sync over automatically, any new users are automatically provisioned once they're added to your tenant.
User Permissions
This guide covers the different global access roles you can grant in Ashby. Along with global access roles, you can also provide job, location and department-specific access roles.
Manage Access Roles
You can view permission levels for each access role, customize existing access roles, and create your own custom roles within Ashby. Access roles are primarily used to provide job, location, or department-specific access to users with elevated access, or to limit access for organization admins.
Additional User Permissions
When assigning access roles, you have the option to assign a limited set of Admin permissions to Elevated Access users. If you don’t have access to manage Additional User Permissions reach out to an Organization Admin on your team.
Permissions Automation
Organization Admins can now map roles to Access roles. As such, when a user is assigned an hiring team role for a job, their permissions will automatically be updated so they have an appropriate access role.
Visibility Options for Users
Once you have set permissions levels for users, you can further amend what they can access in Ashby. For more on access roles and permissions in general, check out User Permissions In Ashby, you can further control what your users have access to by amending visibility settings.
