tazworks is a technology platform specializing in background screening software, offering comprehensive solutions for screening and compliance please reach out to support\@ashbyhq com for access to this integration enter tazworks api key and base url the tazworks api key and base url are obtained by contacting your tazworks cra (background check provider) once you have this information, navigate to admin > intergrations > integrations from the integrations page, search for tazworks in the search bar once the tazworks tile displays, click on it, then click + enable tazworks enter the tazworks api key and staging base url create ashby api key to create an ashby api key, click into the ashby api key drop down and add a name for your api key after a name is typed, click create new api key once create new api key is clicked the api will be displayed this api key is only available while on this page navigating away and coming back will result it in disappearing, so make sure to save it somewhere safe provide your cra (background check provider) with the ashby api key adding the activity now we’ll add an activity to a stage of your interview plan this will generate a prompt to send the assessment to the candidate once they reach the specified stage on the interview plan tab of your job, click on the add activity to… option on the stage you’d like to add the assessment to (background check is the name listed in the example) from here, click the tazworks option in the integrations section select the tazworks package form the assessment type dropdown these packages are created in tazworks by your cra once you’ve selected the assessment, click add optional from here you can opt to send the assessment automatically when this stage is reached by the candidate if you want it to get added automatically, click on the automation tab and check the box labeled automate on stage entry? after this box is checked, you can close out the menu for this activity by clicking the x for more information, check out docid\ mtfnbycncvnb4mtdsgeqb sending background check to send a background check to the candidate using the integration, click change stage on the candidate’s profile and select the stage where the tazworks assessment was configured on the job the tazworks assessment prompt will be shown automatically on the candidate profile click start assessment to kick off the assessment ensure that the product that is selected is correct and click start on the following pop up if the automate on stage entry? checkbox was selected, you’ll see a note that the assessment is being started automatically and you will have the option to undo this you’ll have 15 seconds after the candidate is moved into the stage to undo the automated activity and stop the assessment from being sent once the assessment has been started in ashby, the status of the tazworks assessment will change from ready to be started to pending at this point the candidate has received an email with a link that will ask them for more information the tazworks cra will use this information to process the background check once the candidate has provided the information, the status will change from pending to in progress once your tazworks cra has completed the background check, you will see the status change to completed on the candidate profile in ashby you’ll also have the option to click view in tazworks this option will then open the consumer report in a new tab where the user will be prompted to enter their credentials (provided by your tazworks cra) once logged in, you will see the consumer report for the candidate
