Once configured, the app will pull all open jobs from Ashby into Slack where users can search through them and add referrals at will. Any referrals submitted through Referrals ⚡ by Deel will immediately create a new referral in Ashby with the proper information and referrer attributed.

### Here’s a quick installation guide:

In order to install this integration, your company needs to be a customer of both Roots/Deel and Ashby and you need Organization Admin access within Ashby.

1. Open Ashby and navigate to the Admin panel.
2. Select Integrations from the left menu and find the Roots tile.
3. Select `Create API key for Roots` and copy the newly generated API key.
4. Head back to Referrals ⚡ by Deel (in Slack) so that you can add the key and finalize the integration.
5. Add the Ashby API key to Referrals ⚡ by Deel - some tests will be run to ensure the
   right permissions have been added to the key and you’re all set!

### Using the app once it’s integrated:

Once your integration is finalized, open jobs will be synced from Ashby into Referrals ⚡ by Deel within 15 minutes. Then, users can easily filter those jobs by department or location and add referrals accordingly

Clicking any `Add Referral` button will open up the referral submission form where users can input information about the candidate they’d like to refer. Any specific questions or fields that have been set up for your organization’s Referral Form in Ashby (configured here), will be shown when submitting a referral.

Please note that Referrals by Deel cannot support a required file field in your referral form, but will always prompt the user to upload a resume.

After a referral is submitted, the candidate/opportunity will populate in Ashby with the proper user/referrer attributed.

As candidates are updated and moved through stages in Ashby, Referrals ⚡ by Deel will reflect those updates in Slack, so that the user can keep track of their submissions without needing to ping admins/recruiters for updates.
