As part of integrating your Ashby Analytics account with Lever, your Customer Success Manager (CSM) asks you to create and enter an application programming interface (API) key into Ashby. This guide takes you through the steps.

If you are looking to migrate from Lever to Ashby All-In-One, see the [Lever → Ashby Recruiting API Migration Guide](docId\:Ybylw_cYkXHr0pvyKx5rk) for migration instructions.

To set up your Lever sync, create a Lever API key with read permissions enabled for all endpoints. [Lever's documentation on creating an API key](https://help.lever.co/s/article/Generating-and-using-API-credentials) explains this, but in short:

1. Generate a new key.

2. Select `Select all read permissions` to grant read-only rights to all data under the **Permissions** header.

3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select `DONE`. This step is required to finalize the API key permissions.
4. Add a name for your API key and generate the key.
5. Sign in to your Ashby account and navigate to [Lever API configuration](https://app.ashbyhq.com/admin/integrations/lever).
6. Copy and paste your key into the **Lever API Key** field.
