Ashby's integration with Docusign allows People Operations teams to send and manage e-signature documents directly within People Workflows, reducing manual work and keeping everything inside Ashby.

While Dropbox Sign is Ashby's default provider, teams that prefer Docusign for items like policy acknowledgments or compliance forms can select it for any E-Signature step within their People Ops Workflows.

Connecting your company's Docusign account lets you send documents through Docusign while still benefiting from automated delivery and signature tracking in Ashby's Onboarding module.

Ashby's People Ops module is currently available through restricted early access. The following documentation is provided for design partners participating in that program.

# Permissions and access

Organization Admins in Ashby Recruiting can connect and configure the Docusign integration in **Admin > [Integrations](https://app.ashbyhq.com/admin/integrations/marketplace/docusign)**.

Ashby People Ops admins with workflow edit access can select Docusign as the provider on an individual E-Signature step.

# Setup instructions

## Configure the Docusign integration in Ashby Recruiting

Whether you use the Docusign integration in Ashby Recruiting or People Ops, the setup process is the same. To configure the integration, see the [Docusign integration setup guide](docId\:q9692LmyFdYbtE1VmW3nH).

## Selecting Docusign for an E-Signature workflow step

When configuring an **E-Signature** step in your workflow, you can choose which provider to use for that specific document.

1. Open your workflow and add or edit an **E-Signature** step.
2. Locate the **E-Signature Provider** dropdown.
3. Select `Docusign` from the list of available providers.

Once you save, the workflow sends this document via Docusign.

# FAQ

### Can I set Docusign as my default e-signature provider?

Yes. You can set Docusign as your default e-signature provider using [the instructions for setting a default e-signature provider](docId\:q9692LmyFdYbtE1VmW3nH). Even if Docusign is set as the default provider, workflow editors can still select either Docusign or Dropbox Sign when configuring an individual E-Signature step.
