create covey candidate source when setting up the api key, there will be an option to set a default souce so that all applications created with the api key have a specific source added to set that up, sign into ashby and click admin in the top navigation bar navigate to organization setup > candidate sources click + new source in the upper right corner set the name to covey and set the source type to one of your choosing — below is an example click create api key setup sign into ashby and click admin in the top navigation bar navigate to integrations > api keys click + new in the upper right corner add a name for the new api key (e g covey api key), click create api key grant the following permissions to your api key jobs read/write candidates read/write interviews read hiring process metadata read/write organization read offers read click save and continue ashby will display an api key — copy this api key click copy and close click into the newly create api key from the active api keys table set default source to sourced covey close the api key modal go to the https //getcovey com/account/company/settings select ashby from the dropdown click connect ats in the select integration search input, type in ashby, and click ashby read through and click continue paste your ashby api key and click submit once the api key has been submitted, wait until a confirmation message shows continue to follow the instructions in the modal create covey user in ashby this user will be used in api calls that aren’t associated with a specific user so that there is a clear audit trail of all actions taken in ashby from https //app ashbyhq com/admin/overview , click organization setup > employees click new in the top right corner set the name to covey set the email address to covey@ (e g mailto\ covey\@getcovey com ) click actions > activate click permissions under global user role, set role to organization admin
