This guide will walk you through integrating ChattyHiring with Ashby. ChattyHiring is an AI-recruitment agent for pre-screening candidates for high-volume and high-rotation, entry-level, mid-tier and desk-less jobs in any language.
How to integrate ChattyHiring in AshbyHQ
Obtain your activation key in Chattyhiring
- To initiate the integration, you’ll need an activation key from a ChattyHiring account to connect both platforms. Here’s how to do it:
- Sign up in ChattyHiring Platform (app.chattyhiring.com)
- In the top right corner, select ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Integrations’.
- In the Integrations section, select ‘AshbyHQ Integration’.
- Click on Add API Key.
- Copy the generated API Key.
Activate ChattyHiring in AshbyHQ
Once you have the API key from ChattyHiring please go to https://app.ashbyhq.com/admin/api/keys
Create new API key for ChattyHiring and copy it to chattyhiring api key in the integration seetings of chattyhiring. Please ensure your Ashby API key has Write access to the Candidates set of endpoints, as this contains the assessment.update endpoint, which will be used to send data back to Ashby about the assessment.
Navigate to https://app.ashbyhq.com/admin/integrations/marketplace/chattyhiring. Select ChattyHiring and add the generated key from ChattyHiring. And select the Ashby api key that you just created in the Ashby API Key dropdown.

Getting started in Ashby
With the integration activated, you can now add a new AI Interview trigger to any job stage.
Or you can add it directly to candidates
You can trigger ChattyHiring assessment directly from the candidate view
Note: Now ChattyHiring will send interview email or WhatsApp invitation to the candidates.
After it has been sent the interview status will be displayed in Ashby.
Once the candidate finishes the interview you will be able to see the results on Ashby and ChattyHiring
Optional: In the candidate pipeline view you can add columns with information that you receive from ChattyHiring for easier use.
And that’s it! After candidates complete the interview, the results will appear on the main screen and in the candidate pipeline view.

Customize your experience in the ChattyHiring platform:
- Create/Edit New Templates: Tailor AI Interview templates to ensure relevant questions for your openings.
- Adjust the Presentation Email: Customize the email wording to reflect your company’s values.
- Adjust the Email Domain: Choose the email account for sending emails.
- Adjust the Branding: Select appropriate colors and logos for the AI interview interface.
